Your custom journey step by step
Every custom piece is a journey we take together. Here's what to expect, from the first hello to the moment it's in your hands.

Step 1: Get in touch
Fill out the custom enquiry form and book your consultation. A half-formed idea or a single Pinterest screenshot is a perfectly good place to start.

Step 2: Design consultation
Meet with Marina in person, by phone or over Zoom. Together you'll talk through your ideas, materials and budget, and whether you'd like to use your own gold or gemstones.

Step 3: Sourcing your stone
Marina will present a handful of gemstones and walk you through the qualities of each, and how they'll translate into your design. Once you've found the one, you'll purchase it to secure it, and this purchase serves as your deposit. Using family gemstones? Marina will carefully remove them from their original setting and inspect them before design begins.

Step 4: Designing your piece
Marina starts with 4 to 8 rough sketches, and you'll tell her which elements you love. She'll then turn your feedback into a detailed CAD rendering, where you can fine-tune the design. Next, a 3D prototype is printed so you can see the piece in real life and make any final changes. Once your design is finalised, Marina will provide you with a quote. After you've approved it, a 50% deposit is paid to begin production, unless you've already purchased a gemstone for the project, in which case that's your deposit covered.

Step 5: Bringing it to life
This is where the magic happens. Your piece is cast in gold or platinum, then soldered, sanded and polished. Gemstones are set, engraving is added as the finishing touch, and Marina inspects every angle before giving it its final polish.

Step 6: The big reveal
Your piece is ready! Collect it in person or have it shipped to you, with the final balance due on completion.
Marina was excellent to work with. I came to her with a vague idea of what I was looking for in an engagement ring for my future wife, and she helped me work through my ideas on capturing an essence in that engagement ring -- which eventually lead to the most perfect engagement proposal that my wife and I could have imagined. Marina helped me understand the ins-and-outs of not only ring design, but also stone selection. The process that Marina utilized helped me make an informed decision on what would be a ring that my wife still loves to this day!
